Nutrition coaching

At The Playground, we believe in a holistic approach to fitness. In our experience, this is the ONLY way to make fitness sustainable for the long-run.

It is no secret that nutrition plays an integral part when it comes to achieving your fitness goals.

In fact, without a nutrition plan, all the hours in the gym regardless of the methods, intensity, duration etc. will lead to suboptimal results only!

If you are interested in achieving a true body transformation, then a sound and progressive nutrition plan is a no-brainer.

How does this Nutrition Coaching work?

Step 1: Assessment

There will also be some forms such as an Initial Questionnaire and a 3-day food journal so that we can get to know you and have the necessary information about your body and lifestyle.

Meet the coaches

Ben Cheah

One of the very rare Chinese specimen, this bearded lad is indeed a welcomed addition. He’s fiercely soft and a true gentleman. Ben graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy and breathes in showing people the right method to apply in sustainable fitness habits. A proud Penang lad, loves the night life as much as being a homebody. He takes as long to warm-up as he does to pull a sentence together. Ben’s on a constant conquest in pushing his fitness limits and finding a solid balanced lifestyle.

Enjoys drinking, loves grinding weights and relish in being a couch potato .

Personable. Reserved . Perpetually Perplexing.

Arron Rose

THE NINJA | @arronrose71

You might want to think twice before messing with this 3rd degree black belt Tae Kwon Do holder. This video game and cartoon geek is also a martial artist and a former UK Tae Kwon Do Champion. Not a ‘punchline’ there, and yes pun intended.

Arron who hails from the UK, moved to Malaysia in early 2020 and has never looked back. He rolls with the flow of positivity and is a big believer of positive momentum. With 10 years of martial arts experience and another 2 years as a Personal Trainer in his pocket, Arron exudes confidence, enthusiasm and buckets of humility.

This young Brit loves the animation landscape, adding on destinations to his travel list and good ole’ banter. Black belt aside, Arron’s truly a sweetheart in disguise.

Charged with energy. An adopted people of Borneo. Knowledge seeker.

Matt Teo

THE FOOD DOCTOR | @tomatteo

You will never not see Matthew without a smile! The smile that’s welcoming, optimistic and almost … endearing. Matt was raised in rather ‘structured’ upbringing: strict studies, private schools and never ending tuitions. And that paid off.

This Sarawakian lad graduated from the UK with a Degree in Nutrition, and recently obtained his Masters in the same field. He is now earnestly pursuing his passion and knowledge in nutrition, one that he will pair off perfectly as a strength training coach.

His internship with the Selangor Football Club has given him a head start into the science behind nutrition, and the art of meal plans. No, Matthew does not play football professionally. He’s a runner and a trained one at it. He would choose a day watching a running or marathon documentaries and playbacks, over parties and loud music.

This physically built chap enjoys Japanese, listens to Post Malone and constantly bouncing with energy. He loves working with athletes, prefers a cafe date and yes, a book worm too.

Lauv and love. Red Devil to the end. Follows to Lead.
