It is time to put yourself forward against fellow sweat buddies in one of the unexpected yet possibly the most robust fitness challenge in Malaysia – The Playground Combine.


Your Strength, Power, Speed and Endurance will be put to test and the challenge will take place in the charmingly unassuming training facility, The Playground Fitness in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur!


Before you go ahead and register, please bear in mind that the event will be split into TWO days. The first day (Saturday) will be for the AMATEUR Male & Female and the second day (Sunday) will be when the ELITE Male & Female compete.

BW = Body Weight 


The strength events are based on a Pass / Fail scoring scheme. In order to pass, minimum of 1 rep is required.
Any extra reps are considered a bonus point.


Female Amateur
– 10 Meter Sprint: 2.5 seconds or less
– Standing Long Jump: 2 meters


– Pull Up : Load = BW
– High Bar Back Squat = 1.5 x BW
– 15 meters Standing Sled Rope Pull = 1.5 x BW to finish line. (1 min max to finish)


– Standing Barbell Strict Press = 0.6 x BW
– 15 meters Sled Push = 2 x BW to finish line. (1 min max to finish)
– Farmer’s Walk = 0.5 x BW in each hand to finish 15m (1 min max to finish)


– Anaerobic Endurance Sprint Test = 60 seconds or less


Female Elite
– 10 Meter Sprint: 2.3 seconds or less
– Standing Long Jump: 2.3 meters


– Pull Up = 1.2 x BW
– High Bar Back Squat = 2 x BW
– 15 meters Standing Sled Rope Pull = 2 x BW to finish line. (1 min max to finish)


– Standing Barbell Strict Press = 0.8 x BW
– 15 meters Sled Push = 2.5 x BW finish line. (1 min max to finish)
– Farmer’s Walk = 0.75 x BW in each hand to finish 15m (1 min max to finish)


– Anaerobic Endurance Sprint Test = 55 seconds or less


Male Amateur
– 10 Meter Sprint: 2.3 seconds or less
– Standing Long Jump: 2.3 meters


– Pull Up = 1.2 x BW 1 minute AMRAP
– High Bar Back Squat = 1.7 x BW
– 15 meters Standing Sled Rope Pull = 2 x BW (1 min max to finish)


– Standing Barbell Strict Press = 0.8 x BW
– 15 meters Sled Push = 2.5 x BW to finish line (1 min max to finish)
– Farmer’s Walk = 0.75 x BW in each hand to finish 15m (1 min max to finish)


– Anaerobic Endurance Sprint Test = 55 seconds or less


Male Elite
– 10 Meter Sprint: 2 seconds or less
– Standing Long Jump: 2.5 meters


– Pull Up = 1.5 x BW
– High Bar Back Squat = 2.2 x BW
– 15 meters Standing Sled Rope Pull = 2.5 x BW to finish line (1 min max to finish)


– Standing Barbell Strict Press = 1 x BW
– 15 meters Sled Push = 3 x BW to finish line. (1 min max to finish)
– Farmer’s Walk = 1 x BW in each hand to finish 15m (1 min max to finish)


– Anaerobic Endurance Sprint Test = 50 seconds or less

Gear Guide




  • Proper workout attire, including shoes, is required for the entirety of The Playground Combine.




  • All athletes are responsible for their own scorecards.




  • No attire shall interfere with a marshall’s ability to determine if the required movement standards and range of motion are being met.




  • Belts, hand tape, neoprene joint sleeves and common fitness wear may be allowed during competition. However, no grip assistance or weight support may be derived from any device worn.




  • In general, gear is allowed that improves safety and/or comfort, but does not confer advantage, and should not damage the equipment and competition floor.




  • Gloves are NOT allowed. Office shoes, slippers, crocs, formal shoes, high heeled shoes, etc are also strictly NOT allowed.






  • The Head Marshall has final say on what attire, gear or equipment is allowed in the event.




Once an athlete enters the competition floor, they may not receive any outside material assistance (water, tape, chalk, gloves, etc.) from spectators or coaches.


Use of chalk is allowed


Use of lifting suit is not allowed.

FAQs


What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?


Parking only takes Touch N Go card and a minimum of RM20 should be available in the card for usage.


 


Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?


Yes
